Re: Recommendation of Calforth Construction Ltd based on extension, improvements and groundworks completed.

We employed Calforth Construction earlier this year to build an extension to our house, replace all windows, doors, cladding and drainpipes and landscape part of the garden.

We were very impressed with their professionalism from the outset. They turned up on time, talked through the plans, advised on other items not included in the plans, such as diverting drainage around the house from an adjoining field, were very clear on what would and wouldn’t be included in the quote and highlighted they would never ask for payment upfront.

After the initial meeting they supplied a very detailed and competitive quote which we accepted and agreed a start date.

Key points were:-

- All started on time and kept to schedule,

- Every person they brought on site was introduced and we were told what they would be
doing,

- Started at 8am and finished at 4pm religiously unless previously discussed, so we always
knew what was happening and it never encroached into antisocial hours and we could easily
organise our day around them,

- Their work ethic was second to none,

- We changed our minds regarding internal layout several times throughout the project but
nothing was too much trouble for them, they really went out of their way to give us what we
wanted,

- We hit a few unexpected issues but had them fully explained to us with proposed solutions,

- Had the opportunity to upgrade materials, such as flooring and paving, before each new
part started,

- Discussed additional work as we went which they fitted in,

- Dealt with all building control requirements from advising of a start date to signoff,

- Quality of work throughout was excellent,

- Disposed of all waste material and cleared up each day to leave a safe environment for
normal family life.
It was an absolute pleasure to have them on-site, we have recommended them to everyone who has been looking to have work done and we have arranged with them to start ‘phase 2’ finishing off the garden.
