We were approached by our client to deliver their project for a two-storey extension to their well-maintained family home.
With two adults, four children, and a dog, the existing space had become increasingly cramped, and the family sought a long-term solution that would allow them to live more comfortably.
The vision was to create a spacious two-storey extension on the west side of the property, replacing the existing garage. This would accommodate a contemporary open-plan kitchen and dining area on the ground floor, with a luxurious new master bedroom and ensuite above. At the same time, the client wanted to renovate the remainder of the house to ensure a cohesive, modern feel throughout
A key design priority was to achieve a seamless integration between the new extension and the original structure—giving the appearance of a single, unified and fully modernised home.
To accomplish this, a new roof was installed across the entire property, and the exterior was refinished with fresh roughcasting, giving the home the appearance of a brand-new build.
Internally, the original kitchen was transformed into a functional utility room, the children's bedrooms were redesigned for improved comfort and privacy, and the entire interior was refreshed to enhance the sense of space and flow.
Externally, a new patio and driveway completed the transformation, significantly enhancing both the aesthetic and practical appeal of the home.
The result is a thoughtfully extended and beautifully modernised family residence—tailored perfectly to meet the needs of a growing family.
